The first race meeting of the CSCC Season is on 12th and 13th April at Snetterton. Loads of Porsches to see racing in Future Classics (sat) and Modern Classics and Dunlop Porsches (Sunday).

Not sure what the grid is like for the Dunlop cars but there are 31 car in Modern Classics and we are probably the smallest of the CSCC's own series!!!

I will be there on sunday racing the 924S in Modern Classics hopefully

See y'all from Saturday afternoon onwards. Sunday is going to be a long day but I am really looking forward to it now despite not being 100% about my car at the moment.

Neil, are you in the Dunlop Porsche race? Didn't see you on the entry list. I'm in one of the pit garages on Sunday, come and say hi.

Yeah, I was in then out then in again [:D]. I got a bit worried about my brakes after I couldn't run the car since early February (work and tow car broke down) so I withdrew my entry a couple or 3 weeks back but decided to help support the series so phoned up yesterday to get re-instated. If I get problems with the ABS again and its dry I may drive with the ABS disabled, I don't like having to push so hard on the pedal anyways so no ABS and an over-servoed OEM system may make for less driving effort [:D]. Its a big track and with it not being a championship yet its another chance to run the car in warmer weather so it really doesn't matter much if I have to hang back.

Back in Feb 1st time out I was consistently over 1.3g in Luffield despite the mega low temps (5 C) but only just managed 0.9g on the brakes in one braking zone on one lap and was usually around 0.8g despite the ABS kicking in sometimes (sticky pump again []). Crazy thing is I was so excited at the time about how great the handling is now and pulling far higher corner speeds than I have ever got close to in some places that I completely forgot until weeks later that I was braking 30-50 foot to early. Farm curve for example read out at 102 mph and 1.22g on the apex, 105 mph on the exit. That blew my mind as I wasn't going near that fast through there last June on slicks!
