Cup 1 replicas

Must be losing my marbles, but is there any reason why a set of MM Cup 1 replicas (7.5" and 9") with ET 47 and 52 should not fit a 944S2 perfectly??!

Apparently there is a tyre to wheel arch clearance issue, which is not there with a set of 55 offset original Cup 2s?

Ta muchly!

Shouldn't be any issue at all.

Are you trying to put a rear on the front [;)]

[:D]

Not me, but the person I sold them to!

Their car is a CAT D repaired track day toy and i suspect it's not quite as 'square' as you'd hope!!

Nick.
Im guessing the problem lies with the rear passenger side. Tyre / arch contact..??? Am i correct.???
The replicas sometimes dont fit as they are slighly too wide an offset...
et47 can sometimes be just too wide whereas the original 55 et is ok...
I had exactly the same problem with my S2...
Its the way they,ve [ the cars ] have been made....
The drivers side will be OK ....
Also the fronts fit OK....
Just the rear passenger side....Not ok....

wot Big Dave said

........and S2's don't have their wheel arches rolled at the factory so that adds another 5mm of problems compared to Turbo cars that were factory prepp'd that way

Hmm, they fitted my Turbo OK, although it had rolled arches and I only tried them briefly before selling the car.

Still not got the Beetle on the road.....

Missing that boost, so the 964 had better not disappoint.....[8|]
