Good bit[:)]

Got a puncture to one of my rears. So I fixed it with a set of Cup 2s.

Bad bit[]

Insurance renewal in Nov. So for the last month they (Privilege) have added forty quid. (for the last month???)
We'll be parting company, then.

Good luck with the Insurance Renewal spent ages on the phone to various companies Direct Line, Carole Nash, Adrian Flux, Liv Vic need I go on, the best obtained so far was R&SA £450 per ann 12000 miles but will pay out on market value only ( Cap Valuation [][] ) so Im going to go with Carole Nash £780 but with a guaranteed value in the event of a claim providing certain bits of info are provided again 12000 miles per annum

If you insure it on a classic car agreed value try Classicline 01455639000. My 1989 944 Turbo was £189-3000miles p.a. in Edinburgh

Blimey 12000 miles is high for a restricted mileage policy. Carole Nash wouldn't go higher than 6000 when I tried them a few years ago.

Everything is fluid [:D]

Classic Line also do an agreed pay out policy. It costs £15 per annum and you have to supply photos of evey pannel, wheel, engine etc and fill out a form about the car. They give a good value to. [:)]

That car is begging for shorter springs
Begging for a few essential things first! Like cutting out rust/service etc. Know what you mean though.[&:]
Maybe I'm missing something, so don't laugh. But to raise the car I had to use the cars scissor jack (in the middle) to get enough clearance to get the trolley jack in. Pleased I got a trolley jack (probably keep it in the car, it's only a little'un) as there is no way the scissor jack was ever going to get a wheel off the ground. Hard shoulder nightmare running through my head.[:(] I guess there's the AA, if you are not in a hurry. Also scissor jack did groan a bit, which was worring, even though it is in good nick.
So, coming back to lowering...mmm!
Thanks for the insurance help. I will be ringing round quite alot. From what I gather I pay about twice as much as what is around average. (which kind of bugs me)I know it's 'how long is a piece of string' and everyones details differ. I was told by one company that it was my postcode that was the nail in the coffin.

I'm self-employed(which probably doesn't help)
Held clean license for a good few years(of course this time round got three points to add on)
Full no-claims etc etc
8,000 miles a year
Other side of thirty
Cancerian/gsoh would like to meet.. sorry I thought I was in another chat room there[:(]

Be nice to get it under a grand!
I remember reading in another thread (will look through) that Liv Vic were good and didn't mind mod's. As I have already took my first step on the ricer front maybe I should ring them.

I remember reading in another thread (will look through) that Liv Vic were good and didn't mind mod's. As I have already took my first step on the ricer front maybe I should ring them.

I believe this has changed. I saw another thread somewhere recently, can't rememeber where, that LV gave someone 7 days to find alternative insurance as they would no longer accept the mods he had.

Don't quote me on that but I'm pretty sure it was LV.
