CUP CAR FOR SALE-SOLD!!

I'm sure the new owner will reveal himself in due course -it's not down to me to reveal details, suffice to say if this is the state of play on current pricing of Cup Cars I am happy!!!![:D]

Congrats Ian, looks sweet.

As it isn't the Ferrari yellow one I heard about, if anyone is interested, I can give the seller a call and pass on any details, if he hasn't shifted it yet.

I am certain this was a featured car For Sale in Total 911 World about seven years, I was warned off by the less Knowledgeable (not Melv) at the time, and bought Butzi, then hankered after a Cup/NGT, it was up at the time with Autofarm for about £30K which seemed expensive at the time......[8|]

The previous owner but one bought it in early 2000 for £28K, and ran it as a track car until last year, when he sold to to the guy I bought it from. The PPI threw up quite a few minor items, but nothing too scary, especially considering I'll be tracking it a fair bit. It has had a couple of bumps, but boot lid, engine lid and shell numbers match, so no major front/rear damage. Craig at GT One (who did the PPI) described it as one of the best cup cars he'd seen.

Anyway, I'm happy with it, and the price I paid (would struggle to get an NGT for the same money). Quite different to my C2, and even RSLs I've driven - feels very 'together' and responsive. It was even OK on the road, so no problem with driving it to tracks.

that looks fantastic [:)] Very nice. Makes me consider chopping in the 2.4S [8D]

That's what I did many years ago! Sold a mint blood orange 2.4S for a red 964 RS--were (and still are, right?) about the same value... Never regretted it.

Looks like a nice one! Well done! You want race cars with a couple of bumps, otherwise they have not been raced [;)]

That's because you don't have a Cup car. Your car is different from a Cup car. Have you seen the list of parts used to change an N/GT to a Cup car? It runs to 8 pages. I do believe that your N/GT feels very different than your old car but I still believe that there is a reason for that. I know what you have said before, but I would still bet the answer is in the suspension.

What's the ballpark cost for one of these cars?...and how much is the speed yellow car?

I recall seeing a Viper Green cup car in Peter Nardelli's Tower Porsce establishment some years ago - freshly imported from Italy. Can't recall what he wanted for it - was surprised he had it in stock at all....

Exactly Simon, I have N-GT not a Cup Car and....and still full FiA race car ready honey...so who gives a to55......Drive one Simon Drive one......
