Cup Exhaust Pipe

Anyone bought one of these Cup pipes? This certainly seems to be the cheapest about and considering they go up to around £300.00, this one at less than £100 delivered seems like a bargain.

Bearing in mind the adage 'you get what you pay for' I wondered if anyone had taken the plunge and was happy.

Whilst on the suject are they noisier or quieter than a G pipe?

I await wise words!

Bob.

Hi Bob, you'll be pleased to know that they are quieter than a G pipe.[;)]

It certainly looks good value. There are tow types; one that bolts directly to the engine and one that requires straps (the one in the pic looks like the strap on type). I would advise getting the bolt on type as it is much more secure (and very easy to fit). I got one of these and am very pleased with it. Good throaty noise put not overly loud. You can see in the pic of mine below that the bolt on type has longer brackets that are spaced close together:

Hi Steve, thanks for that, a bit quieter is what I'm after.

I haven't seen any of these pipes which bolt on like yours, I agree that would be a better fixing. Do you remember where you bought it from?
Although I guess I could get one of these from Germany and modify it. I presume once the primary silencer is removed it's obvious where it should bolt onto?

I bought mine second hand - I'll ask the guy I bought it from where he got it. And yes once the origninal silencer is off - it's very obvious where it fits (2 x 13 mm bolts IIRC).

Here's a vid of the before and after sound:
