Cup holder - looking to fill the gap above !

for sale on ebay at the moment, anyone know if this is the right type of cup holder for my 2000 / 2001 996 ? Ive fitted a pioneer double din unit and although I have a trim piece for the top id prefer the original look (think Richard has this fitted in his?)

any help appreciated.

I don't think it will fit, because the facelift 996 has a different top vent which gives extra space for the cupholders.

looked at something similar, but the dimensions dont look right! my gap is approx 12/14mm that looks more like 20mm which if you have a slightly smaller double din (which the one he is fitting looks like) then perfect, if not I have a very engineered fit so to speak (and the CD's probably wont be able to slide in!

I shall keep thinking and wondering!
