Cup wheel part number markings

Hi,

Does anyone know if the part number marking on these Cup 2's is correct and look genuine?

I have another set of Cup 2's and the part numbers are on the spoke rather than the in the hollow and they have made in Italy on them too.

Thanks
Richard

As a general rule, genuine cups have the widths and offsets stamped either side of the tyre valve on the outside of the rim. Replicas (mille miglia from Italy) don't but instead have the widths and offsets stamped on the inside as per your pic. Replicas also use different offsets compared to genuine wheels. I don't recall seeing Porsche part numbers on replicas either.

They have the widths and offsets either side of the valves and the correct part numbers os I'm sure they are ok?

Would anyone go to so much trouble to make a fake ?

I see what you're getting at now - I didn't get the bit about having the part numbers stamped in different places on the inside at first. Saying that, your pictures make them look like genuine wheels to me.

Just found some Cup 2 images on the web which show the part number in the same place so I guess they must be originals, which is great.

All I need is a set of center caps now!
