Last call for an afternoon at Curborough Sprint Course. £25 for the opportunity to take your car on a safe but technical sprint track. You won' t wreck yor tyres, engine, panels. You will be on the track by yourself and you can safely explore the handling limits of you (the car will know its limits!)

The cost is for the afternoon and will probably be for up to 9 runs (some will be double laps)

For more details email me.

The date is Saturday 2nd Aug

Ian,

From Jamie' s note on another thread I presume this is near bedford. If so I am definately interested. What is your e-mail address?

Marcus

Marcus,
I think you might have your wires crossed here ! Curborough is somewhere oooopp Naaarrrth as far as I know - I' m going to a track day at Bedford Autodrome, just happens to be the same day !

OK, so enough Northern jokes...

Ian, I am presuming that you take your targa on the track. How do you feel it performs versus a coupe? any significant differences?

For the geographically challenged Curborough is in the Midlands near Lichfield. Sprinting is a (MSA approved racing) discipline of competing singly against the clock. Cars vary from standard road cars to ex F1 and purpose built F1 style cars (eg Gould, Pilbeam etc).

Curborough is sort, tight and has lots of bends. The emphasis is on driving ability and not the usual pedal to the metal and brag about a top speed you saw in your dreams later. (sorry guys but I' ve seen the max power cretins turn up and be slaughtered)

The afternoon is about fun, trying out your cars handling, braking etc without trashing a set of tyres. If you are not sure turn up on the day (email me for details) as there may be a couple of places left.

Go on I promise not to laugh at where you think the end of the world begins!

As neither of you seem to know where you come from (so far as your profile goes) are you the Lost Boys that used to be on the Arrows cars before they got lost.

Get onto the M25 (real safety there) M1 should still be relatively safe at least as far as Watford Gap. Next the Road to Hell (or the edge of the world) the M6 The A 38 has two lanes not three so you should recognise this once you get onto it but then it' s a B road and then it' s a lane! These are the ones with hedges (green sticky up bits!)

Come and watch. There will be lots of other cars there some of which I suspect will show Porker drivers what handling is about!!!!!!!!
