"Current model" register event is Sunday 25th May 2008

With plenty of events taking place this year for the classics, its been decided to arrange an event for the current Porsche range of models.
This includes the 997, Cayman, Boxster and Cayenne (in no paticular order)

The event will cost £5 per member entry to event this will include PCGB exclusive parking (either Regional-Register), entrance to the fabulous refurbished British Motor Heritage Museum collection and facilities (normally @£10)

Also the chance to go off roading on the Cayenne experience, courtesy of Porsche Cars GB. (which was pretty Damn impressive last year, seeing and being in a Cayenne doing its thing...[8D])

There will be a driving demonstration/test on during the day.

This is at the British Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon http://www.heritage-motor-centre.co.uk/sectionpages/museum_index.html, Junction 12 of the M40

There are Toilet and Catering facilities on site.[;)]

Rob will be there in the morning, We hope that there will be a good 997 representation within the carpark..

Times and further details will be added as the information comes through, there is also be an announcement in PP

Just a reminder that this is taking place this coming weekend.
Your chance to go off roading in the KN and try your driving skills..

The venue is easy access from the motorway and has hard standing should the weather be inclement..
The event does have enough to make it a worthwhile trip even in wet weather.. but hopefully it will be sunny along with a nice line of well presented 997's

Hi Gary, I did actually make it to Gaydon on Sunday but took the Boxster speedboat (as it needed a wash) looking back through photos a 997 and a 997 GT3 but didn't get to talk to the owners.
Hats off to John McGirl for standing in the rain welcoming the club members. Plus side was a good time was to be had inside the museum and plenty of spare seats in the Cayenne off road experience and Cambs OPCs Cayenne GTS driving.

Paul, pleased to hear you made it... such a shame about the weather but its something you can't control
At the last one that was held I had a great time on the off roading, did it make you miss your Cayenne at all ?
I still think the GTS is a great motor, possibly what the Cayenne should always of been. IMHO

The good thing about Gaydon is there are plenty of things to do inside, one of the reasons that TIPEC are holding their annual show there..
Rob told me it was cold and wet.. however I knew that from standing outside in a cold and very wet Birmingham, sadly working [:(]

I can only second the commitments made by the organisers and people mentioned in Johns post
