Its heard its various drivers to suit.. but Ben's name keeps cropping up... to be fair I'm sort of past caring and enjoy the anonymity of him [:)]

Ben was apparently the old stig, dressed in black

The new stig is a mixture of drivers but I don't know who the most regular is.

The old stig was Perry McCarthy, from what I've read/see/heard. He left Top Gear after it came out (well got shot off the aircraft carrier).

I thought the new one was Ben Collins.

To be honest, this is not going to give me sleepless nights [:)][:)]

Perry McCarthy was definitely the first black Stig. He tells all about it in his book 'Flat Out, Flat Broke'. He only agreed to be The Stig after they changed the name from The Gimp.

Twas a friends house party.

Wot an amazing guy with a fantastic life story! He has been Stig for last two years and done 99.9% of appearances. Gives all his BBC income to charity! Sadly he asked me to keep his name secret as its his anonimity that keeps him in the job! nearly didn't get drunk as was fascinated talking to him[:D][:D]

Talked about new head up displays on F1 race helmet visors with all telemetry available as well as reverse camera views. Aparently traditional rear view mirrors on F1 cars are useless and only there for rule compliance etc etc.
