Cutting out when cold

Hope someone can help but my car has recently been cutting out on start up, (even before the cold weather came in) as soon as I start driving and it's warmed up it idles fine but on start up I have to rev the engine or it stalls.

I'm guessing it's the idle valve or fuel sensor but was hoping someone knows what it is.

Sounds like an air-leak in the intake system - I fixed mine very recently after having the same symptoms as you.

The car starts first time now so I can still buy my rear lights and reflector.
