I've developed a knock from the rear, and eventualy got round to jackng the back end up and having a look. I'm pretty sure its the driveshaft joints were they bolt into the box itself. Infact one bolt was hanging loose, though all the others were tight so I don't think the one bolt would have affected it. If I grip the shafts and rock them to and throw theres some play and a bit of noise (nearside seems worse than the offside), maybe there is even from new to a certain degree?
Does anyone know where I can purchase new, or more likely reconditioned ones from for a reasonable price? Its an 86 turbo.
Oh and the mot is due in may so although the movement doesn't seem excessive could it fail on this do you think?
