Hi all,

I'm new to PCGB and the forum, my first post!

I thought I'd be helpful and inform those of you who may not already know, of an outstanding Porsche Specialist in North Shields known as D & G Motor Engineers.

Two ex-Porsche Centre Newcastle Technicians have set up independently and their prices are VERY competitive.

Dean and Gary are very professional and ALWAYS complete their work to the highest standards, as expected from Porsche trained technicians.

Their website is: http://www.dandgmotorengineers.co.uk

For any enquiries or pricing: enquiries@dandgmotorengineers.co.uk

Based at:

D&G Motor Engineers
Unit 22 E
Oak Road
West Chirton North Ind Estate
North Shields
North East
Tyne & Wear
NE29 8SF

Hopefully this will save you some £££!

Kind Regards,

Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Can you confirm you're not affiliated with them in any way? Adverts are not allowed on this forum, and unfortunately people tend to read these sorts of posts as trying to sneak an ad past the forum rules. It can end up backfiring on the company in question!

Hi Paul,

Apologies, not intended as an add in any way whatsoever, was intended on helping people save a few £££.

I own a 986 and take it there, only just discovered them and was very impressed. I am in no way affiliated, I work in banking/financial services. :)

Kind Regards,

Shaun

Shaun I see you have just joined the club we have a few more specialists in the north east, Nelson Porsche, Redline Racing, Tom Ferguson all are good and our OPC in Newcastle JCT600
Come along to one of our monthly meetings and say hello

Shaun, it sounds like they treated you well too!

D&G held a open evening in August for the club: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=775569

And have looked after a few cars from the area: http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=758466

I'd echo Graham's comments about getting along to a club night too, who knows what other secrets might be shared! ;)

Hello all,

Thank you for the additional information, gratefully received.

They have treated me very well Eldavo! Excellent service. Gary was the Porsche Centre Newcastle Technician that did most of the major work on my car before leaving to go independent. I was chuffed when he told me that it was him!

I was supposed to attend the last meet up, but unfortunately something came up that didn't permit! I was disappointed to say the least!

I'll most definitely be attending this Wednesday!

Thanks Fordy and Eldavo,

Look forward to meeting you guys!

Kind Regards,

Shaun

Again set up by a couple of guys who worked at Porsche centre Newcastle for over 12 years, Dean & Gary were their apprentices.
Nothing fancy and not exclusively Porsche, but are very knowledgable and qualified, and have more experience than the guys at D&G.
No fancy premises or staff to pay for, just a couple of experienced Porsche mechanics that wanted to be their own bosses, and still have a good relationship with staff at OPC Newcastle.
Can handle everything from a tyre change to a 996 GT2 engine rebuild.

Where are these Wednesday evening club nights? And where are they advertised etc?

Mark Hi we meet second wednesday of the month 7.30pm at The Dunn Cow Bournmoor you should get the monthly news letter if you are on my list
