DAB retrofit options

Hi all,

I have a 991.1 (with Bose sound) and was just wondering if anyone knows about retrofitting DAB or has any experience with it.

I came across this website via google https://www.porschedab.co.uk which is by Cartronics.co.uk. I requested a quote there for different options for the DAB retrofit for my car which I have attached below.

Has anyone done any of these or know anything about them or other options? I don't want a new screen/nav system, and the factory retrofit is obviously way too expensive, so the Cartronics system sounds interesting. I like the idea of not having any new visible bits in the interior and having full control through the PCM. I'm just wondering how well it will integrate in the PCM and if I'll get the full range of stations. I have emailed them and await their reply but just wanted to get more input on the whole issue as well.

Thanks
Jeff

Well they weren't able to describe it much further but have promised to send pics/vids of their next install. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Nope. When it came down to it probably the only solution I'd have been happy with was the full PCM replacement but at over £4k totally wasn't worth it. Have now sold the car incidentally (not because of the DAB issue!) but will definitely be looking to get one with DAB from factory if possible next time.

I did find a happy medium in the end just connecting up my iPhone via usb with a good holder/mount and using internet radio over that, but good luck with your search :)
