Looks great - you certainly like the stripy bits! Spa appears a much nicer circuit, although there's little if any banking on the corners - in fact one looks like it has negative camber. Is the whistling noise you hear on accelleration, induction noise when the turbo is spinning up? And how is the camera mounted? Seems close to the centre line.

Very good! Here is my 2.46 (with one passenger, and not pushing too hard) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SMbAN6nDuQ0

I reckon that you could be sub 2.45 if you were (1) taking a different line in Eau-Rouge and Raidillon and (2) take Blanchimont 2 a bit faster [;)]

Here is a 2:47 lap in my turbo TIPTRONIC, lol

I think I still would have gone slightly quicker as the car had a couple of issues at the time.

The end of the day we were starting to push the cars on a bit. I think I could get a couple of seconds very max, that was filmed when I was also having issues with the car... cylinder 4 was leaning out big time as I had melted a plug and had to do a plug change that morning so I had to crank boost back on the motor... still to look into this but we think it is an injector otherwise looks like a lifter issue. My other problem was a noise coming from offside rear wheel area and that the car was very unstable, later to find out that the wheel bolts were all hand tight and were not ever tightened, this was very noticeable when taking Blanchimont as I had to use the run off twice in a row, at the end of the day it is my responsibility and I should have checked them... If it had been near side rear the wheel would have been off for sure as the rotation of the wheel was keeping the studs from falling off (Lucky escape)

I suppose I could make time up on Eau-Rouge and do what most do and cheat, lol... but Blanchimont is a different story... I am running a 600 brake motor (true 600) the speed I carry through there is ridiculous and have no option but to give a good dab there at number 2 or I'm off... the car was clocking 168 mph on Kemmel before braking.

My main point was to show that the Gaytronic can still go strong... and yes I would prefer stick there is no doubt about that and could probably get another second or 2 a lap. A few were asking what was in the car when they found out it was a Tippy you should have seen the face... lol... priceless. It's just the constant grilling that some guys get on the other forum regarding the tip.

But Phil remember we were quicker than Steve in the gt3s and were under 400bhp and road spec now we need to get you @ sidecar Charles out to the RING and see what your all about !!!!! Fancy it G

Hey! A 1993 racecar that I rev to 6,300 max (peak 370 power @ 7,200 rpm) with one passenger and just doing an ok lap. Gordo just come with us to spa n you will understand ;)))

But yes, below 2.50 is fast territory even if we get there with very different cars. I know of a guy who does 2.48 in a standard 964rs on slicks. In a gt3 cup, low 2.30s... He is quick.

Stevie   just remember hes in a proper race car !!!
