As this is the best car club forum "IN THE WORLD" I think this is the best place to ask its contributors which forum is the best for asking numpty questions about my other car, the one I have to drive when my best car is up on axle stands in the drive with a cover, no two covers over it and when the weather allows having a new head gasket, new belts and rollers etc, new wastgate and vac pipes and gaskets and power steering pipes and oh god knows what else replaced, sorry got on a ramble there. Back on subject, oh yes my other car, BMW 525d touring, well it is German. [8|]

I'll put it another way in simple English [:(] any BMW owners here who can recommend a good BMW forum that is as helpful as this one. Oh dear[;)]

We have a 3 series touring but this forum takes up enough of my time as it is without going on another one!
This one may be worth a punt though

Well I have a 530D Touring remapped.lowered to the gunwhales & don't find any BMW forum worthwhile-however I do have the BMW workshop manual in e-form which is quite good.

I usually try Google for funny things like what is causing me to lose boost on hard acceleration despite having fitted a new Turbo, wastegate vacuum valve vacuum tubes,MAP sensor & MFI?

Still not found an appropriate answer.[&o]

Hi John,

I have found the best way is to type the question into Google / Safari etc and get the results from all the forums:

EG: "X5 E53 exterior mirror not heating"

Other than the M3 forum, haven't found the others with much going on other than problem solving.

I have tried doing this and often gone round in circles to find an answer to a tech. problem, it makes me appreciate how good our 944 forum is.
