Damaged insulation on ignition coil pack

Hi All, Had my car serviced the other day and they have told me that one of the ignition coil packs has a split in the insulation. Do they need to be replaced straight away or can it wait till it becomes a problem. Starts and runs fine at the mo. Would this be covered under warranty?

Had mine replaced under warranty. Didn't even notice they were cracked - common problem....
 
Yep - I suggest getting them replaced ASAP - one of my coils failed after being initially diagnosed as having a crack in it, resulting in a CEL - the OPC replaced all 6 under warranty but the inconvienance of getting flat bedded to the OPC I could have done without (I was on my way to a track day at the time !).

Make sure they replace all 6 - they sit pretty exposed to the elements and heat of the exhausts (despite a heat shield) so they do tend to crack after time...
