Broke the Clio last night [>:]. A bang from the gearbox, and now only got 1st gear accompanied by a whirring and clanking and the gearstick waggling backwards and forwards by about 6".

And there's too much salt on the roads to use the Carrera. Looks like the pushbike for work next week !

(Wonder is a G50 will fit in the back of a Clio [;)])

come on now - its a great time to be driving the car, mine scares the be-jeesus out of me on my trip to the station and back everyday, especially in the snow - It has absolutly no clue whats going on!!

Love driving in the snow :), the 3.2 can't be much more scary than the Impreza, 4wd with three LSD's means it still goes like the clappers, just with no steering !

Its just the salt, Honest !

Does anyone know where I can get some aluminium welding done ?

The chassis stay mounting to the bell housing has cracked and pulled out a portion about 1.5" square!

Was ok welding steel 25 years ago, but ally is a bit more specialised and I don't want to fork out for a TIG welder [:(]

My 3.2 drove great in the snow/ice. It's just that I had to twist my neck sometimes to see where I was going [:D]

I drove my car last week but the grit has returned again [:'(]
