I'm meant to be picking my 993 up from stafford on the 28th, looks like snow !!
It's a C2S, not a 4 so it looks like I'd need a tractor to get there, and wouldn't get home.
Just can't wait now!

If you want, I will go pick it up for you and deliver the car back to your house for you ... FOC of course...[:D]

hmmm, it's a very tempting offer, but I think I'll pray for good weather!!
[:D]

just had another look at the wearther and it looks overcast - woo hoo!!
(I never thought I'd get excited about gloomy weather!!)

Hi All
ok, so the 28'th got put off, it's a bit of a downer but no real hardship. A slight documentation problem, damned private plates!!! so we'll be looking at sometime after the forth of january. looks like it'l be a new years present instead.

happy belated xmas and have a plendid new year, (caan't wain for mine[;)])

I'm sure my patience will be rewarded...
with bleeding ears all the way back from stafford!
btw what do these cars rev at at about 80 - 85 in sixth?

Depends on your speedo accuracy of course, but with mine, 85 on speedo is just a fraction over 3000 (my speedo over reads compared with the satnav, but not sure by how much at 85)

PS - good luck if you are picking her up today. M6 (and all motorways) were fine last night - drove back to Scotland. That is more than can be said for my driveway - I will have to dig if I want to play with my 993's 4 wheel drive today!

Thanks guys,
at least it looks like I could get home at a reasonable speed without too much noise from the supercups!!
still waiting to hear from the seller, but I still hoping for the 9Th January.

Paul - I checked it yesterday on a run on the M25 (coming back from a superb Pistonheads Meet !)... Cruising in sixth gear, 80 mph equates to 3000RPM... and I have a loud exhaust as well !

Nice to know my car is running pretty much the same as everybody else's. In my experience (in Germany) hitting 90mph in sixth gear Revs are just on or over 3000 "" 80 mph in sixth is my understanding of economy mode (when travelling through Germany)"¦ [;)]

You'll all be almost as pleased as me that the ' damned weather' is over and I've managed to bring my new toy home.
I'll get some pics up as soon as I can, any tips on how to not drive live a 17 year old everywhere again? It doesn't seem to want to go slowly!!!
I'm all happy now, cannot get the inane grin off my face
[:D]
