Damper "Upgrade"

My first post on the forum when I got my new Gen 2 997 Targa more than three years ago said how delighted I was with the car,
I knew my car was not going to appear on a track day and, while I wanted it to be good fun on the twisty bits, it was not going to be driven anywhere near "the limit". It wouldn't be a daily driver but would be expected to be comfortable over long distances and on all sorts of surfaces so I also expressed concern about, what I thought to be, the overly harsh ride and tyre noise.
Well, after three years and seeing a tiny piece in evo magazine I have finally got round to doing something about it!
The evo piece led me to Intrax www.intraxracing.nl who were incredibly helpful following my initial enquiry and put me in touch with Brunswick Racing www.brunswickracing.co.uk who were going to do the work in the UK.
Ultimately Intrax decided that, as it was the first Gen 2 Targa to receive the modification, to do the work themselves. I don't understand all the technical stuff but they have fitted a 1K2 Black Titan fully adjustable damper with anti-roll control and it has worked really well.
The car's ride has been transformed. It is now firm rather than harsh and absorbs varying surfaces and even speed humps in a much calmer fashion. And yet after doing more than 1500K over all sorts of Irish roads (try the N95 from Letterfrack to Westport for a really great drive) I have no reason to think that the handling has been compromised in any way.
Dave Ashford and the team at Brunswick orchestrated the whole thing in a wonderfully friendly manner and I cannot recommend them and Intrax more highly.

I assume that your ruby red car is the one shown on their web site? So is this a passive damper system and you have had the PASM disabled?

good stuff, I'm having a similar debate with my Targa

can you clarify

is yours a Targa or Targa S?
PASM or non PASM?
is the new suspension passive or works with PASM?
did they change the springs as well?

thanks

Mark

Sounds interesting, where was the work carried out? Do they have facilities in the UK?

Finally the big question - cost?
