I know that there have been threads before, but I can't find them so. Has anyone got any advice of what to fit in terms of dampers? I have Boge struts (only effects the front .... I think), I looking for quality at a cheap price![8D]

Any info would be great.

i am about to fit dampers on the front my self was going to do it this weekend but busy well keep you posted looks fairly easy to do.

I don't think you have much choice! I recently replaced the Koni inserts on my 67 912 at £125 each. The struts for all cars 65 - 68 were either Koni or Boge, and I don't think they are interchangeable. I got mine from Berlyn

I have adjustable Koni's on my '12 - Koni's were an option on the early cars - mine originally had Boge - to be honest adjusting them to the setting they say makes the front of the car really 'stiff' but when the fuel tank is full its fine.

Do you notice any real difference with your car Nick?

I had to replace mine to get through an MOT. They were leaking. To be honest the new ones felt much the same, set at the softest setting as recommended by Koni

I only got the boge as my mate deals with this stuff and I got them for £49 each which is a cracking deal.. I have Koni adjustable for the rear NOS I hope they are ok £40 from an Ex freind hmmm I hope they are OK..

I also have to replace the one side ball joint on the wish bone how it passed the MOT with the gaiter split I will never know but I will replace it any way.

I have seen koni for Boge struts for the front but they are £150 each, I've seen Boge replacements at £65 each. Are Koni worth the extra cash?

The best price I have found for rear Konis is £95, anyone know of somewhere with a better price?

sorry to be such a newbie but I have Konis all round (67 912) nice pink ones now and they are too stiff for even fast road use

Am I right in saying that I could fit complete Boge replacements then all round?
or are they just not interchangeable ??

also any good suppliers of these at reasonable prices, or is the best at Berlyn ?

PS - I will contact the bonnet and lid strutt people to see about sourcing those nice strutts at a good price for the 912/911's out there - if possible - will let you chaps know more.

I think the new koni's are yellow the old red /orange

I could have a word with my mate but they would need to be collected either Porstmouth southampton or poole
