Dasboard Squeek!

Hi All, My 3.2 has a very annoying squeek/rattle from the dashboard[] I have played around with all the switches and the likes but it seems to be within the dash it' s self. My question is has anyone had this same problem and if so did they find a cure? Also how does one get behind the dash?

Any help would be much appreciated[:)]

Yes, I have the same problem, but no, I can' t find out where it is. Trying to listen and drive at the same time is hard, and ' er indoors, when asked, says that it doesn' t happen if you drive on a smooth road, so.... Grhh !

Mind you, one of my squeaks/rattles in the dashboard was caused by something moving under my seat (I have fitted extra electronic equipment there), and the sound was reflecting off the dashboard.

If you find out anything, PLEASE let me know - it drives me up the wall at times !
Maybe the lowered, stiffened suspension on mine is the source of the problem.

Hi John, was at my porsche club meeting last night and we went out for a run. I took a fellow member withme and he believes (as he and a few others has the same noises) that it is the windscreen[] Which is feasable I guess

It could be that your stiffened suspension is causing the shell to flex a little more, meaning that the screen and dash will be moing relaive to the metalwork. A cure could be a brace across the suspension turrets.

I already have a suspension strut brace, so can' t be that as a cure.

The windscreen creaking, I have wondered about that, as it can seem to come from the top of the dashboard. Question is, what can I do to reduce/stop it ?

Anguished cry of help.

My windscreen was replaced a couple of years ago (according to invoices) However I will make more inquieres and come back with any info
