dash clock

My dash clock works fine. But I have one in my hifi and another on my wrist.

Does anyone know of a more useful gauge to take the place of the clock, (such as oil temp / volts / amps / electronic mph/kph digital speedo?) i.e same size as the clock

Thanks

So why have you got one on your hi-fi then, as you already have the wrist one ?

Oil temp you already have, volt/amp are pointless nowadays, electronic speedo is harder to read than analogue (true of all digital/analog comparisons, digital is more accurate, but analogue is good for an 'at a glance' reading), and would not be directly in your line of vision.

Having said all this, I never read my wrist watch whilst in the car, as the dashboard clock is always available, and I am not keen on digital instruments (apart from my Fluke multimeter, but I had no choice in that).

- Didn't get a choice about the clock on the hifi.

I just thought that since the st. wheel obscures the speedo, maybe a mph/kmh switchable speedo would be the most useful. Either that or a radar detector pushed into that cavity.

Now that would be a good idea; you would have to build your own surround, of course, to match the other instruments, but....

I have got used to not really reading the speedo, just the rev counter, as I can't read the speedo markings above about 50 mph, due to my Momo wheel (the standard wheel is good for 80 mph), and the fact that I drive with my right hand about 2 o'clock.

I've rotated the speedo quarter turn ACW. Now I see 0-120mph when the ClubSport wheel is at straight ahead. Over 120, I shouldn't be looking at the speedo anyway!
