Dash cover??

Dashboard cracks seem pretty rare in our climate (except on early dash cars) so it might be tricky finding them for RHD cars. I've just checked the sites of a couple of UK parts suppliers and they don't have anything listed. I suspect you might have to find a local upholsterer so make something up (or just hand cut some vinyl, felt, leather to shape). However hopefully someone will prove me wrong (again[:D]) and recommend an off the shelf solution.

Im sure some of those dent master type companys can do dash repairs. My oval dash has a few that need sorting too.

A passable trim repair on a cut, tear or a hole is possible but on something that has aged and split there is generally too much tension and it will just come apart again [:(] It also needs the windsceen or the dash to be out of the car to gain adequate access for the equipment that melts the new vinyl into the hole [&o]

Yes that did occur to me about the lack of cracks in the dash due to sun. Sorry...I've heard that you've had another poor Summer. Last year wasn't brilliant either as I was there too.
I have tossed up the idea of having a dash sent from the UK to here as there are not many to choose from down here and they probably have cracks. Any ideas who to contact in the UK for Porsche wreckers?

I'd try www.porsch-apart.co.uk and it might also be worth emailing simon@essentialstyling.com too as I know he's been breaking a few S2's and Turbo's lately. I've been toying with the idea of getting a spare as I want to have a closer look at making a carbon version.
