Anyone tell me what might be causing the Audible "Beeping" coming from dashboard when starting from cold- Red Warning Light Above Parking Brake Symbol comes on whilst beep on the goes out with the signal after about 5 secs. Manual in German so thats no use!! (To me at least)
Cheers fellas

It's low pressure in the hydraulic brake booster - long as the light goes out & beeping stops, not a problem - unless of course it does it when your at the end of a 2 mile straight with a 90left in front of you!

English manuals are available from various people - same as any other 964 but with a small supplement for the RS.

fluid levels might be fine, it happens when the pressure drops over time, takes a week or two with mine then when you start the car the electric pump brings it back to operating pressure.
Just had a quick look at the manual & there are actually three causes of the beep+warning light ABS, failure or malfunction, Brake pressure (as above) and differential (C4's only), so it does depend on which other light ist lit but commenest thing is brake pressure.
