Dashboard LED

Hi all,

Just got in my Boxster 986 2.7 and the dashboard lights ( bulbs) are fine but noticed the mileage and trip LED has gone out. MPH and oil level / clock are fine. Just rang Porsche Leic £1000 for a new one fitted. Any one any experience or can recommend anyone? I haven't the confidence to take it out myself but don't want to pay £1000 on a car that's worth £6K.

Cars only done 87K.

Thank you

Paul

I would look for a good Auto electrician in your area and ask them if they can fix it and a ball park price before they do any work.

Don't know if this is any help or not, but on my daughters Corsa the led bulb for the mileage display is completely separate to the dashboard lights. I swapped it out for her & the bulb was about £1.50 from the dealers. Bit fiddly to change though...

I would have thought that this would be a similar set up on any car, are you sure the bulb can't be changed on its own?
