Dashboard warning lights & Instruments

Hi. Anyone had experience of all the warning lights plus speedo, tacho, fuel gauge etc not working but the rest of the car functioning as normal?
This happened upon start up the other day.
I checked the footwell fuses and all seemed OK.
Are there any multi plugs or other connectors as prime suspects or is there a known more serious instrument panel malfunction? Are there any more threads on this subject?
Any comments or experiences would be welcome.
Thanks
Gerry

Well.
After having been diagnosed from light bulb replacement to complete instrument binnacle failure it was quite simple.
As the whole unit was not working, logically it had to be a primary source of power, an earth or a processor.
There are no processors that singularly run the instruments. All earths looked looked clean and tight. So it had to be power or total instrument failure. All fuses checked OK.
Fuse B10 is the main feed. With the fuses in place I check for 12 volts each side of the fuse. Zero volts? Looking at the wiring diagram B10 is fed from a bridge from B9. No power found on B9. Cleaned up B9.
Eureka! B9 powered B10 and up came the instruments. Problem solved.
It only goes to show even with all the processors and electronics a little bit of basic fault finding can save you an awful lot of time and money.
