Dashcam Preparation

I have a 5 week old Taycan (loving it) that was spec'ed with the Dashcam preparation (no cost option why wouldn't you). I was thinking that it would arrive with a connection just hanging visible from behind the rearview mirror just like in the dealership. I was being very, very naive as it turns out. The cable is built into the roof lining and, according the dealership, is a complicated job to dig out. The questions I have are 1. Is it complicated to dig out? 2. If it is has anyone got a specialist to recommend in the Northwest of England.
