I have been asked by Mike Trotter ARO of R18, if any of our R3 members would like to join up with them in a joint meet with R6 North Wales Region.
I know I have already posted some ideas for that weekend but this may appeal more to some of you. R6 has organised a WOTY in Scotland and they will be visiting David Hayton Lotus Dealer Carlisle on Sunday 11th October at 12:00.
We have been invited to join them should anyone wish to do so. Along with other marques of distinction to view on the day they are now an approved Lotus dealer and will have plenty to see on the day.
Unfortunetly this will clash with the planned drive to Malton but if you really wanted you could do Malton for breakfast, Carlisle for lunch and then back home for tea. :ROFLMAO:

A few R3 members have expressed an interest in meeting up with the guys and girls from R6 & R18 at David Hayton cars Carlisle on Sunday. If you wish to join in for the drive over, or just want to meet up there, please add your name to the forum. We hope to meet around 10.30 at Toys R Us carpark to leave around 11.00am Sunday morning (not too early) then possibly heading back to Sally's for a cake and coffee on the way back please add your name to the forum.(you don't even need to take your Porsche)

Greg,
Called there for coffee this Monday am on our way back from Whalton-closed for annual holidays said the sign if I recall-Sat to next Sat but don't know if open this coming Sunday.

Hi Greg,
Just checking do you mean the toysRUs at the metrocentre?
We will see you sunday at 1030
Regards
Les and Alison

Yes sorry Les should have mentioned which Toys R Us.Metro retail park,Gateshead, NE11 9XU for 10.30am See you Sunday.

We will join you for this run out but may not bring the Porsche.
See you tomorrow.

We've already checked, Sally's should be open, unless Sally & Mark have decided they're having such a good time & don't want to come back.

Good to see everyone who turned out today, although the weather forecast wasn't great we still had a number of cars turning out. Thanks again Marty & Gillian who despite the Porsche now being off the road turned up in the Alfa, true commitment shown as always to join in on our R3 region club events.
We enjoyed our look around the showroom and seeing how the work has progressed on the 911 Turbo that they have in the workshops and also meeting up with the R6 & R18 guys and girls for a catch up on the day. Although Mike Trotter who asked if we would join him there wasn't able to turn up on the day. Congratulations Mike, guess you will definitely need that 996 now.
After leaving David Hayton's we had a quick photo stop at Carlisle airport next to the Vulcan bomber to commemorate the Vulcan farewell this weekend before heading off for lunch at Sally's which was superb as always. Although some may have regretted having such big portions on the way home after it was decided to head back via Penrith and concluded with a Hartside Hoon.
Thanks again for your continued support and look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday.
