Daylight running lights

I was wondering if anyone had fitted daylight runners to their 986? I guess there is space in the grills, but was wondering if anyone had put some in and if the would recommend any type.

I fit some to my last car but not very bright to be honest....but you dont realise that until you wire them up.....[]

Anything is possible, there is a chap on Boxa.net called Guvs that fitted a set, he has a write up in his 'running report'.

Just my opinion but can't stand the things myself. Modern designers seem intent on blinging up their latest models with ever bigger sets of LEDs and awful shapes (jaguar xf?) I think that retro fitting to an older car makes it look chav, as if it has had a visit to Halfords. Not really what you want with your Porsche! No offence meant, just my two pennorth. Chris

Thanks... I agree, this is why I was wondering if anyone had fitted any Carnaby....just to see if they actually suited it. S many aftermarket lights look very weak on cars they do look shabby.... But I did see a new Boxster last week with some on, which got me thinking....

Nothing changes. I remember fitting 10 lamps to the front of my Vespa SS180 back in the 60s and 55W Quartz Halogen Cibie 'death rays' to the back end of my Mini Cooper as 'reversing light' 'cos we thought they looked 'cool'. They didn't. Take the missus out for a meal instead.
