Dead or alive

Just wondering if anyone knows whether my old 944 is still alive. Saw it in an old home movie at the weekend and decided it's time to get one again! I must have sold it about 16 years ago and according to 'how may left' the numbers are dropping quite quickly now.

We had to sell it because it was my wife's daily drive and with a new baby was fed up of every boy racer wanting to race her of the lights with our new daughter on board. Quite nerve wracking for a new parent. God help them if they tried it now ... tyre smoke is all they'd see.

Would be great if it was still alive and good enough to buy back!!

So anyone know if C567SCF is still alive?

If not - the hunt for a replacement starts here.

Here's hoping.

Yes they seem to be getting quite scarce now, so i stocked up, possibly getting another this year [:D] TBC.
Sorry i cannot help you out with that particular car, get one while you still can [;)]

Thanks for your thoughts, I'm going to keep my hopes up. I saw it had been SORNED. I just had another look at what's known at the DVLA for that year:
1986 944 326 Licensed 363 SORN
1986 944S 3 Licensed and 4 SORN

Of the thousands made that so few are left is a shock!

Now is the right time to get one again ... it will happen. A hopelessly romantic thought but I know my wife would love to be reunited. I think it was a case of having to sell before she was ready.

You're right!

See, there's no place for hopeless romance.

So the search must move on. Anyone knows of a likely replacement please let me know.

I'll be looking for anything 944 oval dash, happy with any engine size but rather not have a turbo. Must have a light coloured interior but I think I'd consider anything from needing work to immaculate (proper definition of the word not sales speak). Ideally a light coloured metallic as well.

Thanks for your thoughts and observations. They're much appreciated.
