Allow me to introduce myself....

Been lurking here for a while. Think its about time I introduced myself. My names Sebastian Bishop and I was born, raised and work/live in London.

Firstly I would like to say thank you to everyone for contributing to the forum as I have used it many times for resource. A stirling job well done chaps.

I've been a Porsche owner on and off for a few years. I acquired a very nice 1996 C2 three years ago from a chap in Cornwall and have loved every minute of ownership. I don't "spanner" myself but let my local specialists do the honours. I always like to check the order of work on here though, before handing the keys over to my mechanic! I am currently in the process of trying to find somebody wanting to swap their amber rear lights for my red ones as I am trying to return her back to factory spec. I would appreciate any leads!

Its a pleasure to make everyones acquaintance and I wish you all safe and pleasant motoring.

-Sebastian

Not Mark Pearce by any chance? (me too - he is very good - but now 7 years ago - time flies).

Can't help with your question, mine has red lenses, but they are original (on a C4) but I suspect you might find an eager owner as some like to swap to red. Do you also need to return the front lenses to orange?

Hi Sebastian.

Have you thought about buying new from Porsche as they will look really fresh. I collected lots of sets for free over the last seven or eight years when it was the craze to go non standard but have sold them all now as everybody wants to go back to standard.

If you are looking for a straight swap from somebody you will just have to be patient and continue to enjoy the car as it is.

Ian.

Thank you for the replies.

I plan to join soon, as I want to become a part of the enthusiast community. I am keen to attend meets.

No it was a chap called Darren Graham. He had it since 1997 and ran it as a weekend toy.

I know what you mean with the lights. I dis acquire some amber fronts. After a bit of work with the orbital on a low speed setting and some Menzerna 203s they really are as good as new. Funny how a lot of owners (I've noticed) are returning their cars back to standard.
