Hi Guys

i think one of my cats are breaking down as when stationary if i rev it after the exhaust has quietened down its followed by a air slight wooshing sound after sounds as if its the cat.
So was wondering has anyone de-cated a boxster?
what advantages and disadvantages can i expect from doing it

cheers
matt

Don't want to state the obvious but its illegal and there's a chance you could have the car crushed if your found to be using it on the road without cats.

In addition I suspect that the downstream sensors in the system will complain - Check Engine light, data recorded in ECU, maybe reduced performance as the ECU will treat as a fault (not sure of that one), probably need to be reset at Porsche etc.
