Decent garage in Kent, Porsche specialist if possible

Afternoon all,

Just bought my first Porsche, a 2003 Boxter S, and am loving it so far. I came from a Lotus Elise 111r, and anything I gave up (not much) is more than made up for across the board with the BoxterS. Yes, it feels heavier, not quite as nippy off the start, but it is a fabulous drive and is an actual CAR, not a lawn chair and a engine =).

Anyway, have had it less than a week, but I realised I have no idea where to take it for servicing, or any issues that are bound to come up on an 8 year old car. I live near Sevenoaks, Kent, and was wondering if any of you fine folks have suggestions for a trusted garage relatively close. Would prefer a Porsche specialist, but tried, trusted and true counts a great deal as well.

Near Sevenoaks you have Project Nine Engineering at Marden (who I use) and La Rose Kemsing, both Porsche specialists. Porsceh Centre Tonbridge are also very helpful and often the best place for spares

PCGB Kent Region (R25) meet tonight at the Kentagon Suite, Brands Hatch, 7ish onwards - guests welcome! Main entrance on A20, continue about 1/4 mile after you come through the barrier, you'll see all the cars parked.

I also use Project 9 - excellent service and sensible cost.

The owner/manager, Cliff, used to be service manager for La Rose - he went out by himself about 10 or so years ago.

Many thanks for the leads. Always better to go to places people can actually recommend from experience. I wish I could go to the meet up, but I am Sweden until Friday =(

Cliff went solo a bit later than that - it's only about 3 years since he went solo and took his one unit at Marden. Since then it's built up so well that he'll shortly be expanding into the next door unit, thus doubling the available space! You're right about the quality of service - he always has time to explain things and show you what he did to the car and why - both before he does the work and after he's done it!

I think I will make a trip this weekend in that direction, check it out. Looking for an excuse to go for drive anyway =) Again thanks for the suggestions.

Put his postcode into your satnav, or you may have fun finding Cliff - he's in an industrial unit in the entrance to a farm a bit down a country lane outside Marden.
