Boys...
Been offered an exceptionally good deal on something very special, ex-Le Mans but it MIGHT mean that the Blue one needs to go to a new home... she's getting basically no use as I'm travelling permanently and I'm struggling to justify having it sat there.
Full UK registered/MOT, you know the rest of the story.
Thoughts? (Tell me I'm gonna regret it and I'll be rude to you as I'm sure I will)
Any interest out there in PCGB land.
Not interested in advertising or putting it thru Thomas as that's too much like actually committing to sell it and I want it to stay within the community if it leaves me.
I reserve the right to take one look at potential purchasers and tell them it's not going to them!
Rick

Rick your car is very unoriginal and has a complicated story so you may be very lucky to sell very quickly - if it is needed to purchase the other one. That said its a real beauty and something 'a little different' but that is a much smaller market.

My point is if you NEED the money first to get the other one and you REALLY want the other one (don't be blinded by its a bargain so worth having....thats what I do and its bitten me back a couple of times[&o]) then get it advertised as much as you can fast.

If you don't then just get the other one - then market yours for sale- simple.[:)]

But don't 'expect' it to sell quickly - be realistic it was with Thomas for quite a while if I remember?

Otherwise let me have details of this exceptional deal on a Le Mans car......my mouth is watering just wondering what it is!!!!

PM me your mobile mate and I'll come and see you at the weekend - let me know what races you are driving in to.

The other one is funded without issue, its more a question of justifying having the thing sat there for the hell of it when someone could be using it. And quite how much cash I want tied up in cars!
Yes, it was with Thomas for a while, but once we realised what it was it was a feeding frenzy if you recall... (2 phonecalls for the car while I was sat collecting the keys and both blokes insisted on me having their phone numbers in case I sold on... long since lost of course!)
Can't say too much on the other one although it might well be there this weekend...
Talking of which I'm in the David Leslie Memorial Trophy which is lunchtime Sat and teatime Sunday.
Will PM mobile, but anyone else wanting to track me down I'll be in the Promotorsport tent most of the day I expect with the Supertourer.
Cheers

Go for it then!

Whats the worse that could happen....you have to sell it or the Infineon on?

I know what you mean about money tied up though - I have money tied up in 5 of the damn things at the mo and would rather have the cash...its limiting me doing other things[]

...and yet there you are asking for details about the lemans one Jason. I think you have it bad!! [;)]

Rick, sounds like a tough decision, to be honest if you can afford to hold both for a while, and the new one is desirable, then do it. Gives you time to shift the infineon car, but can always move the new on if you had to.

Oh and clearly we all want to hear about the new one on the table....when the time is right.

If the something very special is what I am thinking about, look around, there are a few for sale for a reason [;)] ... costs ... [;)]

Rick...what car/colour scheme/number etc? Would be good to keep an eye on how you get on while watching that race on Saturday.

Cheers

We'll be in the Primera, imagine we'll be running #23 with full "Champions" livery and Leslie on the side/windshield.
And I think I'm starting from the back on Sat which might make for entertainment.

Phil, 2.85 litre Biturbo? Looking at 6... trying to narrow it down and looks like we'll ship in a pair between us but it's definitely a buyers market... although from the numbers we've run and the other owners we've worked with costs aren't too daft. One I want is certainly a little different though... we'll see.

Wife (!) has persuaded me that selling the Blue one would be careless. So I'll end the dicussion on that here, but if anyone does come across a sensible interest the car may well be available to the right home.
