Defected from the 996 !

Just to say hi, and after 2 years of 996's with RMS failures and so many other issues I have come back to the 964 variant of which I owned some years ago.

Purchased a 1993 build, Jul 1994 reg 964 C2, she has a superb history and really looks fantastic.

Purchased from Eporsche who tends to specialise in the 964 marque.

Glad to see you have come back into the fold mwadams.

I've driven a few 996's and to be honest found them to be a little unexciting, mainly because they feel far more refined than the 964 C2 that I am used to driving. They even felt slower to be honest - but I put that down the fact that my C2 is not standard and the 996's were.

I know I'm probably preaching to the converted but it takes a lot more skill to drive a 964 C2 than it does any 996 - I'd like to see someone who has only driven 996's and above, pull out from a right hand turning into busy traffic in the wet without burning the clutch or spinning out.

Well probably not fare as I'm sure that any capable driver could re-teach themselves how to drive and cope with the fun factors associated with driving the 964 C2.[:D]

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the offer, and sounds good to me.
I am not far from Coalville, so lets sorts something out.

Sorry Mark, been working hard and haven't had chance to check the forum much.

I'm only down the road in Rothley, I'll give you a shout sometime. Some nice fast country roads around your way!
