Dension GW500 and Service alert

Just a sanity check...has any one else had a problem with "Service in XX days" message popping up since they have had the Dension installed?

As my car was (supposedly) serviced when I bought it a month ago I am just wondering if this is a gremlin [8|]

Dlau I think this might be coincidence as the same thing happened to me but I don't have Dension. Bought my car from OPC approved used, it had just had the first service at about 22 months old as the book was stamped/copy of bill enclosed etc. but then a month or so later I started to get the service countdown message. Popped into the OPC 5 minute job to reset the onboard computer and a slightly embarrased apology followed accordingly.

you might also be interested in the firmware upgrade for the Dension unit - V2.03.

cures some of the random bugs, but also seems to be causing a few other issues with bluetooth - detail are on 997 board on rennteam.com

Thanks all...I assume when it is due for a service the message appears every time you start the car other then intermittently?

Black80XSA - I did upgrade to V2.03 a couple of weeks back thanks...just waiting for the newer release to make the BTA1000 bluetooth option work better than it does []
