Dents and paint - Derby Area

So annoyed. Picked up a dent on my rear offside panel, about 5 inches in from door panel and just below the height of the door handel. Paint is ok just this horrible line about 1.5" long. I also have a small paint chip to the left of my drivers door handle which i would like to get sorted without having to paint the whole panel . Anywhere in the Derby or Notts side of Derby ish area that can be trusted and do a good job. Not bothered about cost so long as its a pucker job

Some of the chipsaway guys come highly recommended http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=230703 but I can't say I have any reports from the Notts/Derby area. Has anyone else?

Ive never been that impressed by the local chips away guys. They are OK, but never brilliant. Anyway this place at Sandiacre in Derby/Notts has been recommended to me plus they are next door to one of our suppliers and were towting at the Elvaston Castle meet earlier in the year so I may give them a go and see how they fair. I will report back if they are any good and leave details etc

I used Chipsaway on my wifes Polo just before she sold it. He touched up a deep stone chip - which they don't warrant against corrosion by the way, and fixed a small but deep dent. I must say I was pretty impressed with the results. It was a dark metallic blue paint and even though I knew exactly where to look I could see no traces or signs whatsoever of the repair. I can't comment on how long the invisibility of the repair lasted as we sold the car shortly after, but from what I saw they did a pretty good job. Reasonably priced too.

There is a place in Allenton on Ascot Drive which I think is called Dents away which a friend of mine has used and he was happy with the results.

Try PH Sportscars (independent Porsche specilaist) at the British Waterways Yard, Cavendish Bridge, Shardlow. Paul has a bodywork man who has done stuff for me and he will also be able to recommend others in the area that he uses if his own guy is topped up with work.

911 sport in Horncastle, bit of a trek but the dent guy did 2 x 10p sized dents on my car, one over the front wheelarch, one over the rear flank (really bugged me when I looked in the wing mirror) for £90 and they have completely vanished without a trace []
