Derbyshire Yorkshire run to 3 Acres 20th November.

Whilst on the MOTY you may have overheard Chris, Delia and myself talking about the Tippee that has appeared at Three Acres (near Emley Moor Mast)to do Woodfired Pizza. I am looking to see if there would be any interest from the group in sorting an "unofficial” run, starting at the Yorkshire Bridge Inn near Ladybower Reservoir and going cross country (either via Strines or via Glossop but avoiding Snake Pass as it is closed for landslide repairs), ending at the Pub. I’m looking at end October or early November and preferably a weekend. Please let me know if you’re interested and we’ll get something sorted. Thanks Erica

UPDATE: The run is now organised for SUNDAY 20TH NOVEMBER MEETING AT 11.00AM AT YORKSHIRE BRIDGE INN - S33 0AZ - going to THREE ACRES INN - HD8 8LR

THERE IS NO NEED TO PRE BOOK LUNCH, I'VE BOOKED TABLES FOR 1.30PM AND IT IS PIZZA… if you’d prefer to eat in the main restaurant then please contact them separately and please let me know so I can take you off this meal booking. The number is 01484 602606.

I'm not doing a google map, or directions - however there are a number of us that know this neck of the country very well, so if you don't know where you are going please feel free to follow them - I know Chris and Delia and Richard and Christine know this area like the back of their hand! And equally a sat nav will tend to take you on a scenic run even if you don't manage to follow anyone as the countryside is so beautiful.

At the moment I have the following:

Brian
Frank (and Brian’s brother)
Chris and Delia
Richard and Christine
Karen and Adam
Roger and Elaine
Jane and Mike
Mark and Julie
Mr and Mrs T
Brian and Viv
Graham and Jane
Scott and Janine McDonald
John and Karen
Matt Helks
Peter and Val

Thanks Erica

Omg…. There’s 28 of us!!! Look forward to seeing you all at the Yorkshire Bridge… it has limited parking so please try and fill up the car park sensibly… I know you’ll all be considerate of others. If anyone has any issues I’m happy to post my telephone number if necessary … and for those on the MOTY you’ll have it already.

Chris and Delia have kindly done done routes… the details are on the second page. I hope they copy here:

Below are two Google map links for routes tomorrow.

Hi Erica,

Great idea.

Me and Christine would be interested.

However our next free weekend is 12/13th November.

Thanks

Richard and Christine

Erica

Delia and I are interested. Thanks for taking this up.

We can’t do Saturday the 22nd October unfortunately. However, we are available 29th October. After that it would be 19th November onwards for us. Obviously, I appreciate finding a date that suits everyone is nigh on impossible!

Delia

Hi Erica,

Christine has just told me I dropped a boo-boo, it’s the weekend of the 19/20th which is our next free one.

I blame her 😂😂😂

Thanks

Richard and Christine

It’s looking like it’s going to be the 20th November (Sunday). I suggest anyone that wants to attend please let me know as I’ll need to book a table at 3 Acres. I suggest we meet at the Yorkshire Bridge Inn near Ladybower Reservoir S33 0AZ at 11, so we can have a quick drink and a chat and then I’ll book lunch for 1.30 so it’ll give us time to get there.

Hope that’s ok. Anyone that was on the MOTY has my number on the WhatsApp if you’d prefer to contact me that way… I will keep an eye on the forum too.

thanks Erica

Hi Erica

This looks a great idea, and wood fired pizza in the (semi)open air sound perfect for us with our cancer/ covid issues. Please can we join you.

Many thanks for organising this.

Graham and Jane

Hi Erica, sorry but plans have changed and we have to be in London that weekend. All the best. Ian

Hi Erica,

I hope this does go a head its sounds a very scenic Autumn run out!

If this goes a head I would definitely be interested, on the latest email sent by PCGB it looked like it could happen Sunday 20-11-22

If this is the case I can make it on that date.

It mentions about pre- booking lunch which I will do as soon as its arranged.
