Lovely looking car - who's is it?

What else happening at Goodwood - always a good day / weekend out.?

50th display very disappointing higgly piigly .... no offence meant to those who volunteered cars .... but Lord March should have put a big show on, three cars stuck up a pole and a few in the Paddock and four on the lawn .... for such an anniversary would have though a complete lawn .... as he does in the past with other marques ..... Are standards slipping on here?

I left the thread title open, for someone to point out it appears to be a Supercup car and not a Cup.

What's going on RS enthusiasts? [:D]

Don´t worry! We´re sorting out the other details, e. g. front bumper with holes for headlight washer....

It takes ist time, if you want to be precise! [:D]

I managed an internal inspection, noticed the welds were very straight and tidy ..... no Matter sticker on the cage ... maybe this was the RS Chassis derived SuperCup spec .... lovely car sitting on those Magnesium Speedlines[:D]

Hacki,

I was always under the impression the generic cup cars used C2 bumpers and wings on the basis they were likely to be damaged by the 2nd corner of a race.

As Porsche made more C2/4 than RS the bumpers were cheaper for a team to buy, especially in bulk! [:D]

Spot on....

That´s exactly why my Cup car carries a C2 bumper after some clubsport action a decade or so ago. The used C2 part was so much cheaper.

Holes closed with plastic plugs and that was it. Looking at pics from those days you´ll see many cars with C2/4 bumpers....

Got to echo Des' disappointment!
50th display was a bit underwhelming tho' the central sculpture was good - if predictable.
The Porsche experience display was tucked away in a corner - the 3.2 in the line up of 911's had rust bubbles around the badge! Best bit was whoever (Richard Tuthill?) was hooning around the Cayenne field in a Tuthills rally car!
Nice array of 917's but a shame about the 962 the jurno stuffed (ever so gently into a bale).

To be honest last went 10 years ago, most of the cars were the same (seemed perhaps even fewer) crowds increased considerably - along with the retail opportunities!

Your right! Was that the car Ninemeister built and features in a Youtube film monstering Lambo's at Brands?
