David at DDB Detailing has very kindly agreed to host us again this year.

Last year saw over 20 cars in attendance with comprehensive demonstrations, Q&A, refreshments and some freebies too!

David's wife, Debbie, has now joined him and is running the products and shop side of the business so David will demonstrate how to get great results at home using the products they sell as well as no doubt showing off his skills with a machine polisher and offering some discounts on the night.

On top of this D&G Motor Engineers who are in the unit opposite DDB have said that they'll have an open garage evening too.

Dean and Gary will be on hand to answer any questions you have and offer advice as well as having the lifts free for general health checks or looking at specific areas of concern.

As this involves two separate businesses giving up their evenings to host us it would be great to get a good attendance to show our appreciation. The evening is on Wednesday the 28th of August from 18:30 and the address is:

DDB Detailing and D&G Motor Engineers
Oak Road
West Chirton North Ind Estate
North Shields
North East
Tyne & Wear
NE29 8SF

I'll make sure that this gets mentioned at the July and August club nights but unfortunately the deadline for Porsche Post is so early that we won't make the July or August edition.

If anyone has anything specific they want Dean and Gary to look at on the night then it may be worth calling them in advance so that they know to keep a lift free at the right time, their contact info is: 07766653526 / 07581798751 enquiries@dandgmotorengineers.co.uk

Dave's done the M3 and the X5 is booked in for the GTechniq treatment next month. I'm more than happy with his work

I think I got it in time for the Porsche Post,[8|] so should be mentioned in the August mag that comes out back end July.
I will put it in the monthly news letter when I come back from holiday[:)] see you then graham

Wow, what an update I have!

DDB & D&G have informed me that they're going to run a raffle with all proceeds to Marie Curie cancer care, a charity close to Mrs DDB's heart as they've cared for both her parents.

Top prize is a minor service on your car by D&G AND a full valet and polish from DDB Detailing.

Other prizes include: A Valet Pro products gift kit, Porsche Sunglasses, A Debonair Detailing Safe Wash kit and others.

All this as well as sample packs for everyone on the night too.

So don't forget your wallet, tickets are £2 each so dig deep for a good cause and the chance to win several hundreds of pounds worth of prizes; see you there at 18:30 for 19:00

D&G will have their ramps available for free vehicle health checks and DDB Detailing have some body panels available for anyone to have a go at destroying/polishing to perfection if you think that machine polishing looks easy ;)

Had D&G do the AC system recently so hope to get along to this, harvest permitting. Looks like there will be a number of the 911UK forum guys going along as well judging by the replies to the thread on there.

just to say thanks to both businesses and anyone involved in organising the event. Nice to see some great cars and get some motivation to polish a bit more.

Cheers.Ian
