Iam a plumbing and heating engineer by trade so chopping in a little bit of copper is common, i was chatting to the guys at the scrap yard to-day about cars and i mensioned my 88 944s, they continued to tell me about three weeks ago a guy drove in a 924 running and wanted to scrap it, if that wasn`t bad enough the 924 was completely stripped of the old paint and all panels repaired and sprayed with a red oxide, the brake disks were brandnew the calipers had been stripped and overhauled and painted with an anodised finish, the gearbox was replaced brandnew and hadn`t even been driven, and the interior had full leather and the underside had been completly waxoiled, i was in absolute shock, the only reason i found all this out as one of the boys in the yard said a guy who works local for landscaping firm had a 944 undercover at a nearby cremoritorium and was going to break it so i went there to have a look, as i pull in there is a guy on a giant mower, i pulled over and i said to him about the forsaid vehicle, it turns out this guy owned the 924 that was taken it too the breakers and it wasn`t a 944 at all, he told me the 924 he bought for £280 "a bit of a steal in my book" was his car, and the woman he bought it from cought her husband with another woman!!!!!!! and this is how she was going to get even.... the gardener nearly ripped her arm out of the socket and accepted, THIS GUY AND HIS SON SPENT ALL THEIR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS CAR, breaks, bearbox, waxoil, body pannels, man hours???????????? probaly hundreds ..........unfornatly this is where the story takes a down turn for the worse whilst down the crema, cremmorr, kremmer, oh sod it the body burner place they told him they were going to do some refurbishment and extend the gardens at the same time, but somthing had to give and there was no where else to store her and no time to advertise her to others, and that is how we got to where we are, this is a most wastless story that should never of happend "GOD BLESS YOU 924 MAY YOUR WHEELS TURN FOREVER AND YOUR SPIRIT LIVE ON" they crushed hearts that day not just a car........
