DEWS Classic Car Day

May I say a big thank you to all those members who turned up to support our event yesterday, 30th April. We were fortunate to have good weather all day, and able to enjoy over 80 classic cars. I will admit that there was perhaps an over supply of classic minis, but we are trying to get away from this by inviting other classic car clubs, such as PCGB. We were let down by quite a number of people and clubs, which would have added greater variety. However, whilst you can lead a horse to water etc!!! Nevertheless I believe everyone had a good day and we learned a lot of valuable lessons. This was only our second year of organising this event and with the knowledge we now have, we shall head for much greater things in 2012. The crowding at the Cuckoo Fair is, unfortunately, beyond our control, but we shall have a few words to say to the organising committe, which will be of a constructive nature. Hopefully they may take some of our suggestions on board.
Once again, on behalf of the DEWS club, many thanks for your support.
