Diary has been updated. June 16th PCGB are holding a round of their sprint championship at Blyton Park. Obviously, we now have 3 events on the same day. R4 will be supporting the Fathers day show, with represntatives attending each of the other events. I will be attending Blyton Park in an effort to promote R4s attempts to get the Novice induction day recognised as a PCGB event.

Hi, Silverstone Classic is 26 - 28 July with the 911 x 911's on the track on th Sunday. John

Pub Visits We are looking for volunteers to arrange a pub night in any of the months May to Sept, Tues,Wed,Thur evenings. Pub must have, Car Parking, Serve Food, not mind being descended upon by up to 20 Porsches and 40 people, although the norm is for around half of that number. It would be nice if we could get a few more attending! We like Pubs that are old, unusual, have some feature or history, have good reputation for pub/Beer/Food. We want pubs from all areas of R4, especially as we have a good few members near and over the Humber Bridge. So come on, we know there are nice pubs on the North Bank. Would anyone be interested if I could arrange a pub night at Batemans Brewery Wainfleet?

Fathers Day show, Brackenborough. The show at the Brackenborough 16 June has been postponed TFN. The owners send their appologies and will try to re schedule for the end of the Summer. Gavin

ALL - As you can read one event has been put on hold until further notice that being fathers day show at the Brackenborough Hotel. We now plan as a group to attend the Wickenby wings & wheels on the Sat 15th. Followed by Sun 16th at the speed event at Blyton. I shall be at both events hope a few of you can do one or both. Richard RO

How about an evening pub meet at the Triton at Brantingham. Fairly near to the North end of the Humber Bridge and they have hosted a couple of Treasure hunts when I and a friend ran them for R7. They are very accomodating - it's a nice pub with a good size car park which hosts other motor club meetings. Food is excellent. Might get some R7 members from the East Riding as well which would be good. Happy to talk to owners if that's any use. Andrew

Andrew, Sounds like a brilliant idea, we have been trying to get something on the North bank for ages. I will discuss with Richard in the morning (Wed 29) and report back. Many thanks Gavin

Glad it sounds good as a concept - regrettably there is a slight prob. Following a fire the Triton is closed and is up for sale. Fall back would probably be The Tiger at North Newbald which is c. 12 miles/18mins. away from north end of Humber Bridge. If you think its worthwhile I will open discussions with them and report back. Any thoughts re. date? A.

Thank you for your suggestion but I think the distance from the bridge would be to much for some. What about the one just below the Humber bridge that has a old windmill North Ferriby? Or how about the Jolly Sailor at South Ferriby lock? June & July are sorted so it would have to be Aug 22 if possible. Let me know by e mail please. Richard RO

Jolly Sailor has a large carpark which is a major plus. Can't comment on the food though, only ever stopped off for a quick drink while taking a drive along the humber estuary. can't make 22nd Aug though due to hols Graeme

Have to say I am finding it difficult to get any info on the Jolly Sailor unless it is the one out towards Brough? How about this www.countryparkinn.co.uk/‎ Slap under the bridge - parking for 110 cars - happy to reserve space for us and has panoramic views from the restaurant. Can't speak for food but if we wanted to look further would have run down to check out. Thoughts? Andrew
