[8|]my cayman is due for a minor service and brake fluid change but cant make up my mind what to do
indy £266
opc dick lovett £480

thing is i would like to keep service book all stamped up and its 2yr intervels so £480 aint that bad. I no i could prob get that down a bit more by supplying my own oil, have heard though that dick lovett bristol used to price match with indys do they still, or is there any other way to get there price down??

anyone use cardiff bristol or swindon dick lovett opc
good ?
bad ?

Am i likely to pick my car up an price will have gone from £480 to £700 by them doing bits that dont really need doing.

Obviously one of the main draws to opc is courtesy car
will they lend me a porsche at DL or will i be fobbed off with a golf.
I know my brother in law was given a cayenne for the weekend but he had a porsche warrenty.

After only owning my cayman for 2 weeks this is all new to me, an while i believe dealers are a rip off with there labour rates from what ive seen an read about porsches it really helps with resale

if anyone has any experince please let me no

many thanks[8|]

i have used cardiff opc 3 times , once a major service on my old 986 s 6 years ago, then a minor 5 years ago, and 2 years ago on my 987 boxster (major again). my car is due a minor service in april ( six years old) and it will be going back to opc cardiff for this , i think if you have main dealer history ,it is better when you sell the car ,also the service intervals are every 2 years so £480 for a minor is only £240 year (my fathers new volvo costs about £300 a year to service at volvo dealers and my focus was £210 last year at a ford main dealer) i friend of mine always used indys on his 2002 996 but he plans on keeping his car for a long time ,if you were a member of the club you normally get 10% off the prices at the opc.

Thank you sent Bristol opc a email last night explaining I want to give them my custom but the Indys local to us are giving me great quotes an although the dealers have bigger overheads could they do any discount just had Gavin ring me an said my custom means Alot an will be very happy to give me a discount. Just shows if u don't ask you don't get.

I generally use Bristol and so far cannot fault the service from them . They usually supply at least a boxster for a loan car if you book ahead, sometimes a 911 Their base loan car is a mini , which I have had st short notice warranty checks Have a chat with Oliver or Gavin They are both top blokes For me the 480 is well spent as i generally don't keep cars for more than a couple of years and value the dealer stamp

Go to an OPC every time. I use Swindon OPC. They are 1st class. You will also get that vital Porsche stamp in the book. Do ask for a Club discount... but of course you need to be a member of Posche Club to get your 10% off on production of your membership card [:D]. Club subscription will be far less than what you get off though! You will get a courtesy car and will have to agree any extra work done. So no hidden surprises.

Just been into opc free coffee an a nice surprise I new the sales manager he got me even more discount so its booked In to be done an they r lending me a 911 for the weekend cannot fault the service. This is why I bought a Porsche
