Did the North Coast 500

Last weekend myself and a group of Banger Rally mates from Rust2Rome did the NC500. Left on Thursday morning and got back on Sunday night. Managed to do about 800 miles all together and had an ace time. My 944 was flawless as were the rest of the older cars bar the E30 which cracked its sump and still made it back home to Brighton! (yes... Actually Brighton haha). Anyway I'll let the pictures explain...

The 944 is looking good....
I was following this on Facebook. My son did R2R in 2010 and is going again this year.

I like the look of this...only ever done runs with Porsche friends before......is there anything similar to this during summer months and what would the typical cost be for two assuming SWMBO will go..:)...I've been wanting to tour Scotland in the 951 and something like this looks fun.......love the pictures....beautiful scenery as one would expect from that part of the world....

cheers

To be honest there was a lot of modern tat in the group so the old cars stuck together and we were all pretty much tit for tat on the roads up there! It isnt an event though, its just a route! You can go any time you like and just follow the route :) It just happens that we all went as a big group. If you google North Coast 500 you'll find the website and it has loads of info. Just the cost of a hotel in Applecross, Ullapool and Thurso then food and fuel.
