Diesel fuel filter query

Hi all,

I will shortly be picking up a 2014 3.0L diesel Panamera. Does anyone know where the fuel filter is located and what is involved to a) drain water from system (if that’s required) and b) to change fuel filter?

There seems to be very little out there on the diesel Panamera on the forums.

Thanks

Thank you, yes that’s helpful. Looks like it’s a straight swap with some fuel line clamps. I read that for Cayenne diesel you just let engine idle for a couple of mins then drive & check for leaks. Seems there’s no need to bleed system. I’m guessing it’s same for the Panamera.

Looks like these documents (as helpful as they are) do not cover fuel filter replacement on the Panamera diesel. I would willingly pay for access to the official Porsche workshop manual, but the link just brings up pages with nowhere to register, login or pay. Just non-functioning pages. I have tried this with safari, chrome, and Firefox on a Mac and edge browser on Windows 10. Hmm....

I downloaded the full set from that link without any trouble. They are just big word files Someone posted on the rennlist forum. I’m afraid I’ve no idea where they came from. Alldata seems well thought of but I’ve never tried it.
