I took my Macan to my local PC for the above recall a fortnight ago and last week noticed that the TPM indicated that I'd lost pressure in the OSR tyre. I blew the tyre back up to the correct reading and visited my local tyre supplier who found the remains of a very thin metal washer that had cut into the centre of the tread. Fortunately he was able to fix it. Having had numerous punctures in recent years in both Cayennes and Macans (driving on building sites is often the cause) I was used to being made aware of lost pressure in a tyre by the ping of a warning light appearing in the middle of the instrument panel and remaining so until rectified. Had the TPM not have been my default setting in the RH instrument binnacle, then I might have only known about a flat tyre until such time as I either felt the car handling strangely or when the tyre was running on the rim!! I returned yesterday to my PC and it would appear that during the software reprogramming recall the TPM warning mode was somehow switched off. Whether this was just a one off or not I can't say at this point, save to say owners of Diesel Macans who have had this software recall might want to check to see if your car responds as it should when you let air out of a tyre!!
