Differential gearshift bushes

While I have the diff out is it worth redoing the bushes on the gearshift mechanism on the top of it? Don't particularly want to shell out £120 or whatever it is for the aftermarket mechanism as it isn't really 'broken'.

Personally if its on the bench, youd be stupid NOT to fit a short shift kit....
If you dont, then drive a car with one fitted, youl kick yourself for not fitting it at the time....
I think there a necesaty...[:D][:D][:D]

Hi, thanks for your replies. Tony, I can't visually match the part on your site with what is on the top of my diff...
On mine there is no rod with a bush running in the same axis as your pic.
Also, how do you get to the bush on top of the torque tube that the gearlever sits in? Do you have to remove the centre console to get the sound insulation out?

Mines a turbo one so may be different but the rod with the sticker points towards the front of the car, the wear was in the bush thats white on the new one, dirty on yours.

Its a while since I have done it but at the front it is possible to either ease the sound deadening to one side or work it out there are 2 bolts that hold it in one in front of the bush one behind.

Give it a clean and it might turn out to be a white nylon one - I thought oh they have changed that until I cleaned my old one [:)]
