Hi
I posted a couple of weeks ago ahead of a gearbox oil and clutch slave fluid change to get some advice on gearbox oil.
That has now been done unfortunately with no improvement i.e. gear selection is perfect when starting fom cold but (usualy on a return journey) gets progressively more difficult until first and reverse are almost impossible.
A couple of replies to my original thread did suggest I may need to replace the slave if the oil change and bleed didn't improve the situation but this is where it gets complicated! The clutch was replaced during a top end re build last year (about 500 miles ago) by a well respected specialist but I've been told by someone else who also knows his onions that there are two almost identical clutches for my year car and if you fit the wrong one (he knows because he's done it!) this also bring about the symptoms I'm getting.
So, in short I don't know what to do first and wondered if anyone had any thoughts? Oh, I have not yet spoken to the chaps that usually look after my car and did the original work.
Cheers
Darren.
